Portrait sessions are close to my heart, especially those we tailor according to the client’s personality. However, this session was extra special because I’ve known Nicola for the past nine years. Our relationship has developed from client to dearest friends. She’s also been behind the scenes on many of my previous sets as a hairstylist and makeup artist.
During the planning phase, Nicola stated that she wanted photographs that represented who she is now. Her words served as a reminder to me that a professional photo session might seem like a luxury item to many, but the experience is simply essential. A photograph can mean so much to someone, and that’s what brings me joy—providing my clients with an opportunity to tell their stories.
